This dialog displays when you are syncing the current drawing with PlantSight and duplicate tags are detected. This may occur when working on a drawing offline and place components using tag numbers which have already been used and synced to PlantSight.
Note: On the other hand, if components using tag numbers are deleted while working in offline mode, OpenPlant Modeler will release the tags for placement through the Tag Browser.

Update Types

When you select a duplicate tag from the list, the Status displays the type of update that is available for the tag:
  • Tag has already been placed and can only be incremented: In this instance, the tag has been placed in both 2D and 3D drawings so the tag can only be incremented to the next number.
  • Tag is reserved and can only be incremented: This prevents a user from placing a tag which may have been defined in a 3D model but not yet synced with PlantSight. When placing a tagged component in OpenPlant Modeler, the tag is reserved (locked) on PlantSight as soon as it is defined. This way if multiple users are logged into PlantSight simultaneously, it prevents the tag from being duplicated.
  • Tag can only be Linked: This is mainly for WBS items which do not have a tag number. It can only be link to an existing tag.
  • Tag can be Linked or Incremented: In this instance the tag has been placed in the 2D drawing and not 3D. Therefore, it can be linked to the 2D item or incremented to a new tag number.
  • Pipeline cannot be linked or Incremented: A pipeline tag cannot be Linked or Incremented. When a pipeline tag is selected the icon is enabled which launches the Pipeline Manager where the tag can be updated.

Editing Tags

When a tag is edited and saved a checkmark is placed next to the component:

To save all tags, click the Save All icon in the upper toolbar.
